I’m really sorry for the hate you experienced. I came over from Allison, too. I ran into similar experiences working for the Obama campaign, but obviously, racial, rather than gender, based. The main thing is how HATE has permeated our country; how people feel they can legitimately be cruel and hateful to others who don’t share their beliefs.

Oh, that and the fact that Congress and our elections system are both broken.

Thank you for all of your hard volunteer work, and I know it was HARD. You are appreciated.

All we can do is keep on keeping on and hope for a kinder future.

Allison sent me over and I wanted to say that I like your piece. Brown’s election COULD foretell something very ominous for our country or it could motivate those of us who actually care about our fellow citizens to actually do what you and Allison and many others did: actually get involved in counteracting the tea baggers influence in local elections.
