Decision on Walmart v. Dukes
The U.S. Supreme Court has issued a decision in the Walmart v. Dukes case in favor of Walmart. The court ruled that the gender discrimination suit against Walmart cannot proceed as a class action. In doing so the court has overturned a U.S. appeal court ruling that granted class action status to female employees of the giant retailer.
