On the third blogiversary of Hello Ladies, I am excited to share some news. I am writing a book, tentatively titled From the Kitchen Table to the Conference Table: How Sexism At Home Affects Women At Work. Scheduled to be published in November 2013 by Bibliomotion, the book will take an honest look at the fact that it’s not just what’s happening at work that can impede women’s advancements; it’s what’s happening at home too. For example, even if they work outside the home, and even if they work full time, women spend approximately 60 percent more time on housework and childcare than men do. The book will look at what’s happening inside the home, how it affects our careers, how it affects the broader workforce, and what we can do about it.
And thank you all for a great three years of blogging. All of your insights, comments and shares are appreciated. I look forward to this next year and hope you’ll come along on the journey with me. And if you want to share your story for the book, email me at liz@helloladies.com.

Thank you Kim.
Congratulations!!! I look forward to your book’s release.

Good for you for speaking up. It’s not easy and the double standard does exist at home.
I would love to read this book. Although, I am quite an independent and strong woman I sometimes am subject to my family and even hubby’s double standards. But every time I detect the slightest sexist remark, I always give them a piece of my mind.
