Monday Memo: Skip the slides

We’ve got another useful tip today from Denise Graveline, owner of Don’t Get Caught — Skip the slides.

Denise says, “The easiest way to ensure that your colleagues will listen, rather than read, while you talk or present is to fly without slides in your presentation. Instead, opt for invisible visuals, words that make us picture things, whether it’s sales results or a more diverse workforce. Or use a prop instead to focus attention—it could be something as simple as a piece of paper. Your audience will remember what you said much longer, and they’ll just have to watch you instead of a slide.”

No more death by PowerPoint.  Promise?
